I beg you . . . to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a foreign language.
Don't search for the answers, which could not be given
to you now, because you would not be able to live them, and the point is to live everything.
to you now, because you would not be able to live them, and the point is to live everything.
Live the questions now, perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it,
live your way into the answer . . .
live your way into the answer . . .

PS This painting was one of my mother's favorites!
what the? to heck with that, I want the answers now dammit! LOL. Just trying to play devils advocate. Of course it's beautiful, and deep, and blah blah blah... :)
thanks for sharing! So true!
Julie, what is this picture? It is so familiar, but I can't place it.
It's called "Christina's World" by American artist Andrew Wyeth - the painting was completed around 1950, I think.
I used to have this picture up on my wall in college! I love the quote. This is such a beautiful blog, Julie!
