Just for a season
no schedules, no plans, nowhere to be
listen to the rain fall, smell the scent of fresh pine
late nights, night games, late-overs
time for each other, time to breathe
finding balance once again
seeking simplicity.

Is that a haiku? Julie, you never cease to amaze!
I do love me some good summertime!
I find it hard to believe that you have no plans, but after a crazy May simplicity sounds great! Reading this is making me wish we had no schedule! It was fun to run into you the other day—I think I'm going back tomorrow to get a swimsuit for myself while they're on sale.
I like this quote. Here is one for you that you may like. I use this at the end of all my yoga classes: "Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and leave the rest to God!"
Namaste,
Joan
No Kristin, it's not a haiku, it's just Julie feeling poetic for a moment - I have no idea if it would even pass for anything literary, but it works.
Thanks Joan - I love that saying - I'm going to memorize it - I need a mantra right now :-).
Michelle - I should have entitled this post, "the first week of summer" - haha - things will speed up in the next few weeks!
